Individual Therapy
Becoming a mum can be include many emotions all rolled into one! From love and joy to anger and sadness. We recognise the complexities of motherhood and the many feelings women experience and understand that it is a time where they deserve to be supported and nurtured.
One of the ways we do this is through individual therapy. Classically known as "talk therapy" or psychotherapy, it is an individualised approach used to discuss concerns with the aim of improving overall mental health and wellbeing. The goal of talk therapy is to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment. Through open conversation, you can gain greater insight and understanding into challenges.
At Nurture, we can help with a range of challenges, including but not limited to:
Postnatal Depression and Anxiety
Perinatal Loss and Grief
Parenting Stress and Burnout
Intrusive thoughts
Challenges with bonding and or attachment to baby
Self-Care and Boundaries
Balancing Motherhood and Identity
Relationship Issues
Work-Life Integration
Whilst at Nurture we specalise in perinatal mental health, we continue to support mothers beyond the first year into their parenting journey.
