Our services

Individual Therapy

Pre or postnatal support for mothers focusing on promoting their mental health. There is no timeframe on the postnatal period, all mothers are welcome and offered a space to feel supported. Prenatal work may include preparing for entering motherhood or navigating the changes when a sibling arrives. Postnatal work may include managing and understanding emotions such as rage, and anxiety or navigating and communicating needs around the mental load that comes with parenting. 

Couples Counselling

Support for couples to explore a range of challenges which could include preparing for baby coming home or navigating challenges in the parenting journey. Again, this can be accessed at any time. There is also the option to have your partner present if needing assistance to communicate difficult topics such as the mental load or experience of emotions.

 

Birth Trauma Work / EMDR

Childbirth is a journey of immense power, but it can also bring unexpected challenges and traumas. We understand whilst a time of joy it can also for some also include distress. At Nurture we acknowledge the depth of these experiences and understand there is space for both. We believe women should have the support and opportunity to heal. Specific trauma informed interventions are used such as EMDR as recommended by COPE.
